Putting your own design on a t-shirt is super easy and sure to get plenty of compliments.
To get your design on the t-shirt you will need:
- One t-shirt- a lighter color will produce brighter colors.
- T-shirt transfer paper. You can find this at craft stores.
- A printer
- Scissors
- An iron and ironing board or flat-heat safe surface.
Step one:
Find the image you want to print on your shirt. If using light color paper, reverse the image before printing. You can do this through most image editing software or good ‘ol Microsoft Paint.
Step two:
Load your printer with the t-shirt transfer paper and print.
Step three:
Cut out any white space you don’t want to show up on your shirt.
Step four:
Set up your iron and board. Your iron should be set to dry with no steam.
Step five:
Iron any wrinkles out of the shirt.
Step six:
Lay your image, colorful side down, on your shirt.
Step seven:
Iron the image on by placing the iron on top of the cut out image for about 15 seconds.
Step eight:
Remove the iron and allow the shirt to cool. Once it’s cooled, you can remove the paper cut out image and you should be left with your choice design on the shirt!
